CHILD PROTECTION and PROTECTION of VULNERABLE ADULTS

TRAINING WE OFFER.

Course overview.

MAP's Child Protection training is delivered at two levels, a one day course that is suitable for all workers and volunteers alike and the two day course that incorporates minimising abuse within a work setting and the creation, implementation and understanding of policies.

The workshops look at current practice in the field of child protection. What our main responsibilities are as workers, A definition of abuse, What to do if abuse is suspected.

Both courses are designed to better equip workers with the skills and knowledge needed to prevent abuse in the workplace and increase protection for children and staff members.

All students are offered support in all aspects of the course. The support we have previously given includes scribes, sign language interpreters, language interpreters, accessible venue, transcription of all learning materials to any format i.e. Braille, audio, and computer-based digital files.
