The course is accredited through the Open College Network offering qualifications at levels I, II and III.

MAP houses a range of resources including a well stocked library, sensory equipment, musical instruments, portable ramps and induction loop PLUS a fully equipped Training Room for Hire within Liverpool City Centre. We are based in a fully accessible building, easily reachable by both public and private transport. All equipment is loaned in compliance with our terms and conditions
OUTREACH TEAM & LINK WORKER PROJECT
Staff will offer support to children and their families and will endeavour to seek out suitable facilities that meet the needs of children.
VOLUNTEERING
Opportunities are available for volunteers. MAP offers full training and individual supervision and support. You can volunteer for a few hours a month or 5 days a week! It’s up to you. MAP have well developed practices and policies that enables potential volunteers to increase their knowledge of working in an inclusive environment. We have many links in play, youth, after school and community centres across Liverpool, providing support to disabled children in the use of facilities and activities. As an ongoing commitment to child protection, both paid and volunteer workers will undertake an enhanced police records disclosure application. This is required by law for any person working with young people or vulnerable adults.
PARENTS & GUARDIANS ASSOCIATION
This is a pilot project set up as a response to the requests of parents and carers of disabled children and young people, below are listed some of the services this project has offered to date, with many more opportunities for the future of this initiative.
There will be a representative from the Citizen Advice Bureau who can provide information regarding benefits, housing, family matters, debt, and legal issues. Due to confidentiality this will occur privately on a one to one basis.
The Disability Employment Advisor from the jobcentre will discuss the support which they can provide for disabled people. We understand that your child maybe too young for this, however, it will highlight the support that maybe available when the time occurs.
Also on the day there will be various holistic therapies available. They will concentrate on relaxation methods, which will be of great benefit to busy parents.
